For its Spring-Summer 2025 couture collection, Homolog delves into the essence of existence, drawing
inspiration from playing cards, once known as simplified French tarot cards. Life, much like a card game, is a
balance between unpredictability and stability, reflecting the rhythm of life and death, time and eternity, passion
and reason.
A deck of cards becomes a miniature world, symbolizing human experience through its four suits. The spade
represents the soldier, balancing conflict and peace. The club, rooted in the clover, symbolizes agriculture and
growth. The diamond reflects arts and crafts and the pursuit of wealth, while the heart embodies wisdom,
spirituality, and love. These symbols connect the material to the immaterial, echoing life’s delicate balances. The
show’s staging offers an immersive journey, with sculptural silhouettes crafted from fluid, luminous fabrics
evoking a game in motion. Embroidery and patterns inspired by cards illustrate a search for harmony. Red and
black hues reflect the eternal dance of day and night, while each suit guides wardrobe segments, from morning
dresses to nightwear, representing life’s cyclical moments.
Through this collection, Homolog celebrates the idea that life is gambling, a journey where every decision
becomes a note in the symphony of becoming: to succumb to love, to yield to passion, to embrace power, or to
follow the path of reason? Homolog reminds us that, like a game, life is built as much on its rules as on its
